How to organize a holiday outreach?

Writer: Annick LAnnick L

The end of year holidays are an ideal time to provide support and warmth to people in difficulty.

Here are some steps to organize a marauding campaign:

1. Preparation

-Form a team of volunteers

- Identify and identify the places and areas where you will help (streets, parks, stations)

-Plan the program (date, time, day) often in the evening.

2- Distribution of donations

-Food: hot meals, drinks, sweets

-Clothing: coats, scarves, gloves, blankets.

-Hygiene products: Soaps, toothbrushes, etc.

3- Create a festive moment

Give small gifts

(chocolates, greeting cards)

- Discuss: Plan warm exchanges: listening, talking about Jesus, meditating together, advising.

4- Respect

-Be kind and respect their privacy.

- Offer help without insisting

By acting together, you provide much more than material help: listening, human warmth, and kindness.
