I know that there is a great God
I know that there is a great God
There are truths that cannot always be explained with words. Deep convictions that are born not in human reasoning, but in experiences, encounters, silences, trials and victories. Among them, one certainty guides my life, lights my path and keeps me at peace even in the storm: I know that there is a great God .
A God greater than my circumstances
Life has taught me that the world's certainties waver. Health can fail. Relationships can change. Projects can fail. But amidst all these uncertainties, I have discovered one unshakeable constant: God does not change .
When everything seemed to crumble, when injustice struck, when loneliness weighed heavily, I saw His faithful hand . He didn't always take away the pain immediately, but He was always there. Present. Comforter. Sovereign.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” — Jeremiah 29:11
A creator God, beyond our imagination
Gazing at the starry sky, observing the beauty of nature, hearing a child's laughter… All of this proclaims the grandeur of a Creator God. Nothing is the result of chance. There is intelligence, beauty, and intention in every detail of creation.
And yet, this great God, who created the universe by His word, cares about me. About you. About each of us.
"When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them?" — Psalm 8:4-5
A God who is near, despite His greatness
God's greatness does not make Him distant. Quite the contrary. He drew near to us in Jesus Christ. In Him, God walked among men. He healed, loved, taught, lifted up… and then He gave His life on the cross so that we might be reconciled to Him.
A God who dies for His creatures? That is beyond human comprehension.
And that is where I see His greatness. Not only in His power, but also in His humility, in His extravagant love, in His infinite grace.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." — John 3:16
A living God, even today
I don't believe in a God of the past. I believe in a living God, present and active even today. He continues to speak, to save, to heal, to restore.
I have seen it at work in my life, in my family, in my church. I have seen hearts changed, the sick healed, paths opened where everything seemed blocked. And I believe this is only the beginning.
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." — Hebrews 13:8
Conclusion: My hope is in Him
Yes, I know there is a great God . Not because I read it in a book, but because I have met Him . He loved me when I didn't love myself. He sought me out when I had strayed. He lifted me up when I was broken. And He wants to do the same for you.
May this blog be a testimony, a light, an invitation to lift your eyes… towards this great God who loves you and awaits you.
