Why winter patrols concern us all.

Every winter, the cold puts the most vulnerable people in danger.

For those living on the streets, low temperatures pose an immediate, sometimes life-threatening, health risk. Winter outreach patrols are therefore essential.

They are not just emergency actions: they embody a collective commitment to human dignity.

Reaching out to homeless people is first and foremost about building connections. During outreach patrols, volunteers offer their presence, a listening ear, moral support, and also practical assistance: hot drinks, blankets, essential items, and information about available shelters. These simple gestures can change the course of a night, and sometimes much more.

Winter outreach programs concern us all, because hardship is never an individual's inevitable fate. It results from life paths often marked by disruptions, social or economic difficulties. As an association, but also as citizens, we have a role to play in ensuring no one is left alone to face the cold.

Supporting outreach efforts means taking concrete action: becoming a volunteer, making a donation, sharing our work, or simply showing kindness to the people we meet. Together, we can make winter a time of solidarity rather than a time of exclusion.

Because solidarity doesn't take a winter break, outreach patrols are everyone's business.
