Faith in action among the most destitute

Recently, I met a homeless man. Moved by his situation, I gave him some money and a card for the Homeless Mission with the meal times and activities for homeless people. He seemed very interested and asked me where it was. I explained it to him.
Then I asked him if he believed in God. He answered, "Yes." I then said to him, "God bless you." The following Sunday, after the service, I met two young men of Romanian origin who were also destitute. I gave them some coins and a card for the homeless shelter so they could go there for a meal.
They also asked me where the place was. I explained it to them, and then I said, “God bless you.” Deuteronomy 15:8 But you shall open your hand to him and lend him what he needs. Galatians 2:10 They only instructed us to remember the poor, which I have been very careful to do.
Let us not cease to do good, amen.
