How to do a mobile patrol?

Writer: Annick LAnnick L

A mobile outreach is an activity through which an organization, an association, or an NGO provides assistance, support and assistance to homeless people or those in precarious situations.

To do a mobile patrol, you need?

-Find volunteers

- Volunteers usually travel by vehicle so find means of transport such as (car, van, or minivans for the movement of volunteers)

-Adapted the vehicle to allow volunteers to distribute resources such as: food, drinks, clothing; blankets or hygiene products.

- Cover a large geographical area and intervene in different neighborhoods to reach a large number of people in precarious situations.

- Take advantage of this opportunity to give advice and redirect destitute people to accommodation, catering, showers, health facilities, etc.

- At the same time, volunteers must interact with them and create a social bond through warm exchanges and attentive listening.

- Urgently offer conditional aid to help these people.

Finally, mobile patrols play an essential role in supporting and responding to the needs of the homeless.
