It changes everything around

Sometimes all it takes is opening your eyes to see how much everything around us is changing: the seasons, habits, relationships, plans… The world moves fast, sometimes too fast. We are often shaken, uprooted, or surprised by what we are going through. And yet, amidst this turmoil, one truth remains: God does not change .

1. When everything changes, God remains the same

Our emotions fluctuate, our strength varies, our certainties sometimes crumble. But the Word of God reminds us:

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” — Hebrews 13:8

This divine stability is an anchor for our souls. Everything around us may change, but His presence remains a constant refuge.

When we place our trust in Him, we are no longer at the mercy of the winds that blow through our lives; we walk with the One who holds the wind in His hand.

2. When everything changes, God changes us

We often like things to change… as long as it doesn't require us to change ourselves. Yet, God uses transitions to shape our character.

When one door closes, He prepares another. When one season ends, He prepares the ground for a new seed.

The changes around us reveal the work God wants to do in us : maturity, trust, obedience, and even healing.

3. When everything around us changes, our mission remains the same

The Church of Christ is not based on circumstances but on an eternal calling: to love God, to love others, and to proclaim the Gospel.

  • Technologies change, but the Good News remains relevant.

  • Cultures evolve, but God's love remains relevant.

  • The methods are renewed, but the mission remains unchanged.

In a world that is changing, Christians are called to be points of reference , lights , and faithful witnesses .

4. Change: an opportunity to see God at work

When everything around you changes, it's not a sign of abandonment, but a sign that God is preparing something. A new field. A new direction. A new testimony.

Every transition carries within it a potential miracle. God writes in the margins of our upheavals.

Conclusion: When everything around us changes, God changes everything within us.

The world may tremble, our bearings may shift, but we have a Rock. Change is not here to destroy us, but to lead us closer to the heart of God.

So, instead of fearing what is changing around us, let us say: "Lord, change what You want to change in me." And then... yes, it really changes everything .
